2027 Audiology Externship Opportunities

Happy Ears Hearing Center is excited to offer 2 externship opportunities for doctoral audiology students seeking an exceptional private practice experience. Our program provides hands-on clinical training in a patient-centered environment, working closely with experienced audiologists who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting the next generation of professionals.

Externs will gain experience across a broad range of services, including diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid fittings and follow-up, tinnitus management, vestibular assessments, and patient education. With multiple locations and a diverse patient population, Happy Ears offers a well-rounded and fast-paced externship opportunity.

How to Apply

  • 3 professional references or letters of recommendation
  • A 1-2 minute video (in place of a cover letter) answering these 4 questions:

    1. What interests you in a placement with Happy Ears??

    2. How do your past work or life experiences shape the kind of provider you hope to become?

    3. How do you feel private practice differs from ENT or hospital-based audiology, and what interests you about the private practice model?

    4. Some patients need hearing aids to improve their quality of life. How do you feel about your role in recommending and fitting hearing aids as part of patient care?
