I don't normally write reviews mostly due to time limitations, work, life, etc. however, I MUST say from the moment I walked for my appointment with Happy Ears, I was immediately impressed with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the office. How often do you get offered coffee and cookies at a doctors office? A couple of years ago, I saw a well known Doctor of Audiology located in downtown Phoenix. To say the least, it was exactly what I had expected. The office was in much need of cleaning and updating, somewhat dark and dingy. Not only did I feel as I was rushed through my appointment, the doctor gave me little information. Not so with Dr. Shanna Mortensen-Dewsnup. She has an extremely calming presence. She fully explained the results of my tests in a manner in which even I could understand. Never once did I feel rushed to leave so she could see her next patient. I am so very thankful that my friend recommended me. For those of you that are 40+ and in any way skeptical about your hearing issues - fear no more! Go to Happy Ears - you won't be disappointed!

I had an amazing experience. The facility is wonderful and very welcoming. The staff was absolutely stellar. The Dr. was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Lately I've been having a heard time hearing my wife. I thought I was losing my hearing. I made an appointment and filled out the new patient form. The form was very intuitive and user friendly. The hearing test is very comprehensive. Dr. Dewsnup provided the results immediately afterwards. I was happy to hear that my hearing is working normally. I surmised my inability to hear my wife clearly is "selective hearing". 🙂 Lastly, Happy Ears Hearing Center also offers hearing protection products for avid shooters. In the same visit they made a mold of my ears, sent them off to SoundGear, and within a week I received my new custom hearing protection. I highly recommend Happy Ears Hearing for all of your hearing needs.

First impression ..... You are not important to them. Had a 2pm appointment, at 2:20 all they could say is I'm sorry she is running late. 2:05 is running late, 2:10 I am truly sorry it sorry only be a few more minutes. 2:20 is, I could care less you sit out there another half hour, I am more important you are, your only a new client. I could be wrong, I have never been there before.

If it wasn’t for Shanna Dewsnup I wouldn’t be able to hear the birds chirping or my grandchildren laughing. She is a wonderful person, who takes extra time with all of her patients, while maintaining a professional business. I have been going to her as an audiologist for years... I also realize that when I go to see her, I will sometimes have to wait. In life we have to wait for the wonderful things that touch our lives. She takes the old school approach of helping people until they are 100% satisfied. She takes the extra time to make you feel special. It is unfortunate that people don’t realize, that this is an added bonus to this practice. If you just wait patiently, you will probably make a friend for life with this person, I know I have.

After receiving a surprise bill from Happy Ears, we requesting a printed itemized statement breakdown of all services and payments they have received. Instead of being helpful or kind to address our needs we received instead, a nasty mean spirited letter addressed to our insurance carrier emailed to us, stated how unreasonable, and demanding we were in requesting this information. We are still requesting this Itemized statement and are continuing to receive defensive rudeness. Since October, there have been multiple promises that this information was sent in the mail and Happy Ears is no longer returning our calls.

Took my mom to Happy Ears to replace hearing aids she had lost. They were very professional and so helpful. In the past, my mom, even with hearing aids in, had a lot of trouble hearing. Well, not any more. Happy Ears assessed her properly, giving her the correct hearing aid for her needs, and now she can actually hear a conversation that's at a regular volume, and at a regular distance. They even followed up with her at her nursing home, so she didn't have to make the trip out during Covid. We are more than happy with the service, as well as the product received from Happy Ears.

I rate you a 5. After we moved here just over 6 years ago, one of my aids quit working. I think it was a tube. I called several hearing aid places and no one could see me for 6 weeks. Working at Fry's in the customer service dept at that time, I couldn't wait 6 weeks. Happy Ears was able to get me in almost immediately.

Can’t say enough about this place. The office staff the doctor everyone is so sweet and incredible! My little one doesn’t like doctors and cries at the top of his lungs through every doctors appointment. We arrived at Happy Ears with tears in our eyes. Right away the lady that greeted us turned those tears into a huge smile and he was walking around babbling. Then Dr. Kelly had him happy and cooperative through the whole process. She is a saint and has so much patience! My son even gave her a hug at the end! Mr. I don’t like anyone was giving Dr. Kelly a hug! I couldn’t believe it! 5 stars is simply not enough for the experience we had at Happy Ears in Peoria. My son had to have his hearing evaluated about 2 years ago and due to being terribly shy (and slightly uncooperative), it was a very difficult task. He is now 6 and had to have it re-evaluated. I could tell he was very nervous initially. We had the pleasure of working with Megan Korbelik. He warmed up to Megan quickly, which he doesn't usually do. She was so kind and patient. The doctors and staff at Happy Ears Hearing Center in Peoria provided both my wife and myself with unexpectedly great experience. We had been discussing our gradual hearing losses....and then discussing them some more! Shirley, a physician, finally scheduled herself an appointment and came home raving about Dr. Halterman, her detailed exam and audiology testing, exceptional explanations and state of the art hearing solutions. I followed her advice, went in today and had precisely the same off the chart experience with Dr. Blaylock. This place is very unprofessional. You never get a greeting when you walk in the door and it’s always a problem that you’re there to do business. They don’t ever know what supplies I need even though they’re in my one and only supplier for my hearing needs. Today I called was told to come down to pick up my stuff and then when I got there I was given an attitude about why I didn’t know which model I needed. I had just been informed that they had everything they needed from me and all I had to do was come down and pick up my product. I had to go all the way back home and come back and be told that she had it already. Very disappointed.The response recieved explains the interactions perfectly. It’s just too bad you can’t deliver the service with grace and ease.

I was having hearing problems due to wax buildup for a couple years now, eventually I pulled the trigger and decided to have is professionally removed. My experience was nothing short of amazing. The waiting room felt inviting and comfortable and all the staff there were very friendly and helpful, they seemed like they really enjoyed being there. The procedure was quick and painless, within 40 minutes of my appointment I was already heading out the door. My ears haven't felt this good in years.

Wow! Life changing! My only regret is I didn’t have my left ear irrigated sooner. For the first time in years, I have excellent hearing out of both ears. The hearing loss came on so gradually I didn’t really even notice until recently how impaired my hearing was. My ear canal was 100% completely clogged with a massive earwax plug that was thick and hard as a stone. They were so careful and gentle. The remedy was simple and affordable. Thank you Happy Ears!

She explained the tests very thoroughly and made sure to be gentle as I had a ruptured eardrum when coming in to do my hearing test. I brought my son to Dr. Halterman after her referred in one ear on a school hearing test. He is only 4 so I was nervous that he wouldn’t be very cooperative with the testing. She was so kind and encouraging and tried a couple methods to find a way for him to give her feedback. She explained everything she was doing to me and made sure I understood the results. She is a wonderful provider that obviously loves what she does.

I could not be more happy with our experience. I had to take my almost 3 year old son with sensory issues for a hearing test. I was SUPER anxious as I knew he would have some meltdowns. The staff was absolutely amazing with him. So patient, kind, and understanding. That is so impossible to find these days. I left in tears, but HAPPY tears. What a blessing this staff is. Absolutely loved my experience. One of my hearing aids broke and without it, it makes life extremely difficult. They were able to work me in for that same day as they had an open spot due to a cancelation. I was able to get an updated hearing evaluation and then got new hearing aids with updated technology to match my lifestyle. They were also able to fix my hearing aid until I get my new ones. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Went to Happy Ears on 5/22/2023 for hearing test. Felt very comfortable with Dr Radous as we discussed my prior hearing conditions. Did a complete audio test and agreed with test results. My wife and I discussed with Dr. Radous the different hearing aids available that would best suit my needs, as I only need 1 hearing aid at this time. The doctor recommended a behind the ear type as best option for my hearing loss. The office is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

Amazing place! Staff is always so courteous and listen to your needs! Never felt rushed. Our son had a second set of tubes placed as well as his adenoids out by 20 months. Due to scar tissue & numerous ear infections, his ENT wanted to perform a hearing test. We attempted, but could not complete it. When PCH wanted almost $1000, we looked into Happy Ears & I am so happy that we did! Not only did they take our insurance, but the clinic is beautiful, clean & super kid friendly!! Dr. Halterman & Hannah were amazing!!! Their setup, toys, patience & kindness was top notch for our little guy. Thank you, thank you for such a great experience!!

I was VERY happy with my visit to Happy Ears! Hanna and Laura (sp) at the front desk are great and I very much enjoyed working with Dr Shanna Dewsnup! She spent lots of time with me discussing the details of hearing aids and options for using them, and provided the best hearing test I’ve had since spending 4 hours at the Stanford Ear Institute in 2017! She is very experienced and knowledgeable along with being friendly and engaging, and the equipment there is top-shelf. I can’t imagine a better audiology place in the valley. I’m very happy to have found my new hearing go-to place!

I took my three year old to see Dr. Natasha Seaton and she was amazing. She was patient with my son and so kind to provide recommendations for next steps. I would definitely recommend Happy Ears, especially if you have a little one who needs some extra help with hearing screenings, as the environment is very calm and child friendly. This facility is amazing! They really calmed my anxieties and were wonderful with my six-year-old. The doctor sat on the floor with my daughter and tested her while she played with toys. She was very friendly and funny, and my daughter loved her. She also made sure to walk me through each step so I knew what was going on and updated me as she was seeing results. I immediately got an email of the results after my appointment. The front-desk staff were very friendly and lovely to interact with. The doctor who tested my daughter spoke a little ASL to her, and I think others there speak ASL too. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone who needs audiology services!

My husband Gabe has been struggling with severe hearing loss for several years now. We were told by Costco about three years ago that he was in the range for a cochlear implant. We went ahead with hearing aids and they helped some until finally his hearing got so bad we decided to pursue a cochlear implant. While researching cochlear implants on the Internet we discovered Happy Ears. We had him evaluated there and he did fall into the severe hearing loss category. When the doctor took us into a room to give us information she set Gabe up with a pair of super powered hearings aids so that he could hear what she had to say. His face lit up and he said “I can’t believe how well I can hear!” We had no idea there were stronger hearing aids available than what he had been using. Several of his friends have spent between $5,000 and $10,000 on hearing aids and they were no better off than Gabe was. Since he is 84 we decided to not proceed with the cochlear implant and spent the money for the super powered hearing aids. We picked them up yesterday and he is absolutely amazed at the difference. We would strongly recommend Happy Ears for anyone who is struggling with severe hearing loss. The audiologists and staff are amazing. They are very friendly and thorough. We highly recommend Happy Ears!

I had my first visit to Happy Ears Hearing Center recently. Excellent experience from the Office Staff to the Audiologist, Dr Seaton! The testing for hearing loss was state-of-the-art. Cognitive effects of hearing loss was even screened.Dr Seaton was patient, thorough and knowledgeable. She explained all results immediately following the testing. I left with peace of mind knowing I have baseline information for me to share with my family doctor. If/when I do have hearing loss that impacts daily life, I will definitely go to Happy Ears to get my hearing aids. Thank You Happy Ears!

I called to see if I could get my hearing aid repaired, I didn’t buy it there. They want 450 dollars up front to do… I don’t really know what. Join some kind of program, get an evaluation, etc. I just want to get a repair I don’t need a hearing evaluation. It’s out of warranty so I know I have to pay to fix it but why all the additional costs.The response to my review was disingenuous. I fully understand how a warranty works. I fully expect to pay for the repairs. You wanted 450 dollars up front before even looking at my device. That’s what I was complaining about.

Our experience at Happy Ears was exceptional! After our father let us know he was still having problems with hearing (even with his current store-bought hearing aids in), we did a bit of research to find some professionals to help him out. We noticed that Happy Ears had many great reviews, and we decided to give them a try. When we called, we were told the location nearest to us did not have any availability until the following week. However, there was an appointment available that same day at one of their other offices nearby, so we took it! Upon entry, we were greeted by the friendly receptionist who kindly answered all of our questions. After a short wait, our father was called in by the audiologist for his hearing test and the whole family was invited back to her office for the results and consultation. We all found Dr. Natasha Seaton (Doctor of Audiology) to be a very knowledgeable professional who explained our father’s results and options in detail. She was able to use their in-house hearing aids to show my father just how much his hearing could be improved. She listened attentively and responded thoughtfully and honestly to all our concerns about device options and pricing. She also made us aware of an existing warranty on his current hearing aid that we did not know about. In the end, we decided to go with getting his current hearing aids recalibrated and fitted with new moldings to best meet his needs for now. The overall out-of-pocket cost to us (including the cost of the hearing aid moldings, calibrations and office consultation) was reasonable.

I am a recent Cochlear implant recipient and wear a hearing aid on the other side and Happy Ears has exceeded my expectations tenfold. We went in today for a hearing test for my 5 year old. They had a cancellation and got us in pretty quickly. The front staff greeted us and offered us water.very friendly ,the audiologist was absolutely amazing with my son. He is pre verbal and being evaluated for autism, she was extremely patient with him and kept him distracted with toys during the exam , one of our best doctor office visits for him yet! . Awesome place to take your little one. Clean office with ample space, they greet you as soon as you walk in and are so welcoming. My Audiologists was amazing, she was calm, and patient with my little one, they did great. Thank you!

So grateful for Happy Ears! They got us in quickly and were very helpful through the process. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, kind, patient and customer focused. They were upfront with the cost and built a plan that works for us!! The office is welcoming and clean. I can’t say enough how refreshing it is to get great care from a doctors office, it’s been a minute. I will refer everyone I know here!!! Thank you!!

I had the best overall experience at Happy Ears Hearing, Peoria location. The moment I walked in to book an appointment with the front office staff, the day of my appointment, and my consultation/hearing test were all exemplary. Dr Seaton is very kind, compassionate, and takes her patient care seriously. She is knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners. Thank you so much!

When I went to the Happy Ears for the first time it made me put a heavy smile on to see Dr. Shanna Dewsnup. She made my afternoon with a good sharp touch-up! Showed me a live demo on the hearing aids and tried it out, glad I went to the happy ears! Felt like it was a home that never existed in my life. PLEASE highly suggest visiting Happy Ears, they can help you to find a good match on your personal hearing aids.

Pleasant and friendly staff very welcoming. Dr was professional and explained all tests before, during and after they were done. She explained the issue and the steps to take to make the issue better. The appointment was fast and I was on my way in a very reasonable amount of time. Thank you guys.

My exam with Dr. Kelly Halterman was a very enjoyable visit. She was very thorough and explains everything so well. I never felt rushed. She is so sweet! I totally trust Happy Ears with my hearing needs. My husband has been going to Happy Ears for approximately 6 years. And he has never had any problems. I would highly recommend them.

When I arrived at Happy Ears Facility, Laura at the front desk immediately acknowledge me. Laura had a great attitude, easy to talk to funny and kind. Courtney we had a great Conversation very approachable also easy to talk to and both ladies were very Polite. I do forgive Courtney for being a Dallas fan lol no really the whole office staff was so Professional and kind. Dr. Seaton was very kind very Knowledgeable and she make sure you understand everything before you leave. Her personality was excellent also very easy to talk to. Although we were put on a wait list to compete a hearing evaluation for longer than we would have liked, it was well worth the wait. The staff were friendly, informative and easy to get a hold of. The audiologist was very thorough and explained things so well to my little girl while performing the exam. She took the time to explain all of her findings and next steps. We are glad we found the Happy Ears Hearing Center.

I live in a rural area of AZ & decided to move my healthcare & hearing needs to central Phoenix. After much research, I chose Happy Ears in Peoria & from the moment I entered the office, I was rewarded with warmth, professionalism and genuine caring. Dr. Seaton truly listened and explained how we would work together (long distance thru Tele Health) as well as meet my long term needs to tweak my Phonak hearing aids for the best possible hearing experience. This group exceeded my highest expectations and I recommend their services and skills without hesitation.
